The venue used for our Open Mic at OC is a very special place!Recently turning 25years old O’Caseys is like a 2nd home to many,with its amazing garden and two floors with over 30 big TV screens and projectors showing all sports known to man almost every day of the year.In the last two years OC has been nominated for 7 global awards and has won 2.... ‘Best Irish Global Community Pub 2017’ and ‘Best sports Experience Pub in Europe 2018’ ...Its a grand place to meet people of all walks of life from every corner of this planet and The Hague,with an extensive selection of Scotish and Irish Whiskeys,Cider,Stout,IPA,Beer and May other liquid pleasures along with a great meal and bar snack menu it’s a place you must visit For live Music or otherwise! November I chose and allocated 20 random songs to be covered...we got some great cover versions and it was crazy hard to pick my top 3 so.....On the 15th December myself and 20 other music loving people came to our conclusions and voted our top three cover versions sent to us by a very talented bunch of musicians. All covers were awesome and can be seen on our YouTube channel...

THE OPEN MIC AT OC STORY SO FAR
THE LOUDEST OPEN MIC IN TOWN!!!!
So a in 2017 we decided there was not enough live music at the pub so Mike and Myself convinced our boss (John) to give us a chance to hold an Open Mic session every first Friday of the Month...we wanted to create a stage/podium for young or old professional or newcomers of all and any genre and walk of life to be heard,but also we didn’t want to just have solo singsongwriters (no disrespect!) ....the interest was out of this world and we soon realised we were doing a good thing.It has been a learning process and we believe that we are one of the best Open Mic sessions in town if not Zuid-Holland.
In August 2018 we decided to branch out to 2 sessions per month,every two weeks.The interest,support and love again is out of this world and we are so very grateful and blessed to have had so many talented musicians take to the OC stage for our listening pleasures.We thank you all!!!Over the first year or so we’ve held a few gigs using Bands/Artists that stand out at our Open Mic sessions,as well as EP/Album launches and Various other shows.We have had a 7 piece Ska band,Blues,Hip Hop with a DJ,Rock,Soul,Indie,pop,Rock’n’Roll,Jazz,Reggae,Folk,Country,R&B and pretty much every genre under the sun over our soundsystem/PA.Now the Open Mic at OC team consists of 3/4 with Lawrence joining us on sound duties and Esther capturing the night with her wonderful photography skills.Since then we have held some gigs/shows,a mini festival and plan to do a lot more in regards to live music in OC...so watch this space!
